Lottery Thinking

Most people know having a lot of money probably won’t buy them real happiness. But more money buys more things that make us happy at least for a while. Thus it seems to many that money and happiness are connected to each other.

But what should you do if you don’t have a lot of money? How do you get more? Do you work hard? Save what you can? Or put your faith in luck and buy a lottery ticket?

Many average people (people who are not rich) have what we call lottery thinking. They buy as many tickets as they can or join a group buying tickets. They believe this increases their chances of winning.

When actually their chances of winning are 1 in 14 million. Not exactly encouraging but still millions of people keep on buying and hoping. They are addicted to the idea of picking the right numbers or buying a lucky card.

People with money never think like this. They are action people. They solve problems and make money by doing something.

Average people wait on other people, the government, their family, whatever or whoever to make them rich. This thinking comes from believing that money comes from luck. They think rich people just got lucky. Right place, right time. Maybe so but not likely.

Stop buying lottery tickets. You are wasting your money and time. Quit while you are ahead. Time isn’t standing still for you. Your life is slipping away while you play the lottery. You have a wonderful mind but it’s crippled by this lottery thinking.

The Bible says, “Remember the LORD your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful (to get money)..” This is the way to real riches, physical and spiritual. To make money you need God’s power, luck won’t do it.

You can waste your time and money buying lottery tickets hoping to win. Or you can just put your faith in Almighty God and see how He blesses you with success.

Average people buy lottery tickets. Rich people never trust luck for anything. They know luck is for losers.
